Proper Installation Of Driveways in Northborough

While paving a driveway may appear easy, there are steps that are imperative to proper installation. Without these necessary steps and proper material amounts used, a driveway can fail within a couple years. A driveway we've paved will not because we do it how it's supposed to be done, check out our process below.

Step 1: Removal of unsuitable soil and replace with typically 8-12" of processed gravel which has no

organic materials in it like recycled asphalt that can break down overtime

Step 2: Pave a basecoat of asphalt which its typical thickness is 2" compacted depending on application

Step 3: Pave a 1 1/4" wear course which is meant to seal the basecoat of asphalt which is typically more course and to leave a finer look for aesthetics with much smaller stones ranging from 3/8-1/2" in size
